We are looking forward to welcoming you to the 'Your Brain is a Garden' Exhibition at the Children's Memorial Institute, weekdays (Monday to Friday) from the 18th September to the 11th October, 9am to 5pm.
The Exhibition will be a sensory feast for visitors:
Walk through our larger than life brain imagined as a garden and interact with our sensory activities.
View our artist's gallery and their garden themed creative installations.
Enjoy arts, crafts and creative workshops in our Garden Art Studio.
Relax in our Zen Mindfulness Garden.
Purchase some of our beautiful handmade craft pieces.
Children can take part in imagining their brain as a garden in our School Art Competition.
We will also be taking half hour tours through our world first Sensory-Space.
The aim of the exhibition is to share how our brains need to be nurtured, just like a garden, with sunlight, water and good food. How they must be exercised with lots of fun sensory interactive activities, educated with information, and stimulated with creative play.
Entry to the exhibition is FREE but we do welcome donations of R25 per person.
This exhibition is ideal for School Tours and Groups as an informative, educational and fun part of your school day. The exhibition will be relevant to life science, art, drama, geography and life orientation curriculums.
